The 2nd Annual Women Arts Exchange is THE immersive visual and performance art event of the year and it's happening on April 13, 2024 at the Phoenix Arts and Innovation District!

If you're new to WAX,  welcome!  Join us as we celebrate the phenomenal female creators that live and work in the city of Jacksonville and beyond. 

The women of WAX are visual artists, choreographers, installation artists + spoken word artists.  They are unique, innovative + intriguing women who push boundaries in their respective fields - challenging the constructs of what it means to be a woman in the arts today.  At WAX, our mission is to pay homage and raise awareness of the important and necessary impact that women have on our culture, our community and our world.

The choreographer line up has officially been announced! 

The WAX team has curated an incredible line-up of some of the most cutting-edge choreographers from cities all across the East Coast - from Atlanta to Philadelphia to DC to NYC to Tampa, Gainesville and JAX.  These powerhouse women are phenomenal artists, creators + human beings with distinct, innovative, curious + authentic voices.  Meet each of them below and go to WAXINJAX to read all about the amazing ways these women are contributing to their communities and the world.

You’re invited to a FREE community yoga class at PHX JAX. The instruction, open to all skill levels, will be led by Marlene Gandoza. RYT-200 certified and registered with the National Yoga Alliance. She’s a longtime practitioner and began her Baptiste-influenced teaching at a locally owned power yoga studio.

Bring your mat*, a towel, and water bottle.

*We have a limited number of mats & blocks available to borrow if you don’t currently have one of your own!

Featuring many Financial, Health, and Community organizations and experts that will be sharing information ranging from emotional wellbeing to heirs’ property and everything in between. Grab a passport on the way in and collect stamps along the way to earn free food, giveaways, and prizes! This family-friendly event will include a bounce house, games, arts & crafts and drones for kids!

Join us for a PHX Plant Swap! This free, family-friendly event will take place in the Greenway of Phoenix Arts & Innovation District. Just bring a plant, plant cutting, or any garden-related items (i.e., books, tools, vegetables from your garden, etc.), then come to PHX to swap and meet new plant enthusiasts. It’s a one-for-one exchange; if you bring five items, you'll go home with five new items! Plus, the kids can paint their own flower pot to take home.
